Stephanie Cuevas
Stephanie Cuevas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and her Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. Stephanie has worked in many diverse settings, including inpatient hospitalization programs, dialysis treatment facilities, community mental health centers, social service agencies and private practice.
Stephanie’s practice includes assisting individuals across the lifespan, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and relationship challenges. Stephanie is passionate about working with parents who are experiencing perinatal mood disorders, perinatal loss, infertility, and challenges adjusting to parenting. She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International (PSI).
Stephanie focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship and providing a safe space for her clients to grow. She draws from a variety of therapeutic strategies, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), mindfulness, and solution-focused interventions. Stephanie has a kind, genuine, and empathetic personality that shines through in her work with her clients.
