Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor in the state of Illinois. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana, being able to provide telehealth services to individuals residing in Indiana. Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University. She completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling, with a focus in addiction studies, from Lewis University.
Stephanie works with teens and adults, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, adjustment and phase of life concerns, substance abuse, and many other challenges. She uses a flexible approach to therapy, which includes a client-centered, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and rational emotive behavioral (REBT) orientation. She also uses exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP) to address OCD and other anxiety disorders. She understands that a non-judgmental and genuine therapeutic relationship is important to the therapy process.
Stephanie has worked with a variety of clients and has previously held a position as a Mental Health Counselor with Family Guidance Centers, Inc., assisting clients struggling with opioid use, legal involvement such as Probation/Parole, or who have been involved with Drug Court programming in Will County. She has also spent a brief time working for the Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates. Stephanie is also engaged in ongoing training through the International OCD Foundation to better assist clients struggling with anxiety and OCD.
