Bob is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Denison University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of St. Francis.  His first foray into mental health treatment was in case management on an inpatient psychiatric unit.  After that, he enjoyed some time at a small agency providing anger management, partner abuse intervention, and DUI treatment services.  He has extensive experience providing comprehensive assessments of individuals in emergency room and office settings to determine the proper level of care for clients in crisis.

Empathy and non-judgement are focal points for Bob’s therapeutic approach.  He believes that building a strong therapeutic alliance, in which the therapist and client partner to identify opportunities for forward progress, is a key to positive outcomes.  Reframing life problems into life solutions is what drew Bob into becoming a therapist.
