Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University, and her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She has been working in the field of psychology since 1998 in a variety of settings, including community mental health, ER/hospitals, and private practice. She has had the privilege of working in such nationally esteemed hospitals as Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital (now Amita Health) and Linden Oaks at Edward Hospital. Courtney co-founded Oswego Wellness in 2014, and has since provided outpatient therapy for adolescents and adults within the practice.
Courtney specializes in depression, anxiety, OCD, phobias, crisis intervention, parenting, life transition issues, adolescence, LGBTQ, marriage and family struggles. An integrative therapist, she uses evidence-based treatment modalities which include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Mindfulness to help her clients live more rich, fulfilling lives. Courtney has trained in multiple settings, including The Behavioral Therapy Training Institute with IOCDF in using CBT/ERP (Exposure Response Prevention).
Courtney is an affiliate member of the Illinois Psychological Association, a member of International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
