Melissa Tatum

Melissa Tatum, PMHNP-BC, is  a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years in the mental health field. She received her Master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from Northern Kentucky University. Prior to that, Melissa obtained her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jacksonville University. As a nurse, Melissa served in psychiatric hospital settings including Hartgrove, Adventist, and Mt. Sinai hospitals. As a nurse practitioner, Melissa has served in practice settings with people across the lifespan, including children and families. She has experience working with the whole person including their family, work, school, and community supports. Melissa has supported individuals with a variety of mental health and substance use diagnoses. She is ANCC certified through the American Nurses Association.

In her 15+ years as a mental health servant, she has dedicated her career to delivering compassionate, culturally competent care to all those she serves. It is her desire to meet you where you are and to support you to go where you want to be. She subscribes to a harm reduction model and knows that life happens even when you are trying to take care of yourself. As a result, she is available during daytime and evening hours. She provides services in a comfortable office setting or via telehealth from your home. She seeks to be a guide along your journey to help you navigate a healthy future of wellness and healing.
