Kathy is a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. Kathy has worked in a variety of therapeutic mental health settings including residential, inpatient, and partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs. She also has experience working with survivors of domestic violence. She uses a variety of different treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Kathy is an individual therapist who works primarily with adults and older adolescents. She has worked in the mental health field since 2016 and especially enjoys working with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, eating disorders and LGBTQ+ issues. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community herself, Kathy enjoys helping clients navigate difficulties that can occur for people within the LGBTQ+ community like exploring identity, coming out, advocating for rights, and accessing affirming resources in the community.

Kathy provides a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental environment for her clients. She helps clients identify their personal strengths and empowers them to be active in their recovery journey with her support, encouragement and guidance. Kathy lives with her wife, her cat Levi, and her dog Skye. For fun and self-care, Kathy loves spending time with her family, being in nature, playing board games, and doing arts and crafts.
