Heather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from Loyola University Graduate School of Social Work in Chicago, IL with a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2002. Since then she has been providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults with broad range of issues including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, substance abuse, relationship issues and divorce. 

Heather's diverse background includes training and treatment in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), social skills development, parent-child therapy, addiction, and family therapy. She is a member of International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). Heather has trained in multiple settings, including The Behavioral Therapy Training Institute with IOCDF in using CBT/ERP (Exposure Response Prevention). She believes the therapeutic relationship and insight development are integral in reaching one's goals. Heather co-founded Oswego Wellness in 2014 and has been providing outpatient counseling since. Prior to opening Oswego Wellness, Heather has 14 years experience working in hospital settings, in schools, and in client homes providing psychotherapy and assessments for diverse populations and across the lifespan.
